OwlKitty is a black cat named Lizzy who lives in Portland, Oregon, and has become one of the internet's most inventive feline stars. Her owner, French video artist Tibo Charroppin, painstakingly green-screens and rotoscopes Lizzy into iconic scenes from famous films and TV shows — so she can be seen menacing the T-rex in Jurassic Park, sliding across the floor in Risky Business, terrorising the family in The Shining, sailing on the bow in Titanic, and stalking the corridors of Hogwarts in Harry Potter. Each short is a small feat of visual-effects craftsmanship: Lizzy is filmed against green screen performing simple cat actions, which are then colour-matched, scaled and composited frame by frame into the original footage. The results are funny precisely because they are so seamless, and because a cat's indifferent, unbothered energy is a perfect comic fit for high-drama movie moments. OwlKitty has amassed many millions of followers across YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, and stands as a modern example of how a single ordinary house cat, plus real editing skill, can become a global entertainment brand.

Fun fact: Lizzy is filmed doing perfectly normal cat things against a green screen — the movie magic that drops her into Jurassic Park or The Shining is all added afterwards, frame by frame.
