🧺 Ingredients
- 150g cooked duck breast (skin removed, minced)
- 40g cooked sweet potato (mashed)
- 1 tsp salmon oil
- 2 tbsp plain water or broth
👩🍳 Method
- Cook duck breast thoroughly, remove all skin and visible fat, and mince finely.
- Steam or boil sweet potato until completely soft, then mash.
- Combine the minced duck and mashed sweet potato in a bowl.
- Loosen with water or plain broth and stir in the salmon oil.
- Serve a small portion at room temperature.
- Store the remainder in the fridge in an airtight container.
Nutrition: Duck is a flavourful novel protein useful for cats sensitive to chicken, while a small amount of cooked sweet potato adds gentle fibre and beta-carotene.
📝 Notes
Remove all duck skin and fat, which is too rich for cats. Sweet potato must be fully cooked and used sparingly as a minor ingredient. Store in the fridge up to 3 days or freeze up to 2 months.
