Toilet-Roll Treat Pyramid
Stack folded cardboard tubes into a pyramid that hides biscuits for pawing out
Empty cardboard tubes with their ends folded in, glued into a small pyramid, make a zero-cost foraging puzzle: drop a few biscuits into each tube and let your cat fish them out with paws and nose.

🧺 You will need
- Six clean empty toilet-roll or kitchen-roll tubes
- A little non-toxic paper glue or tape
- A handful of your cat’s usual biscuits or treats
🔧 How to make it
- Fold in the ends of each tube to make little dimpled cups (leave a couple open-ended for easier wins at first).
- Glue or tape the tubes together in a stable pyramid — three on the bottom, two in the middle, one on top.
- Let any glue dry fully, then drop a few biscuits into each tube.
- Set the pyramid on the floor and show your cat the treats inside.
- Refill and rearrange the tubes to keep the puzzle fresh.
💡 Tips
- Start with wide, shallow folds so an inexperienced cat succeeds quickly and stays motivated.
- Once your cat is confident, fold the ends tighter to raise the difficulty.
Safety: Supervise play and swap out any tube that gets chewed soggy or torn — cardboard is fine to paw and mouth but should not be eaten in quantity. Remove and recycle the pyramid once it is wet or flattened.
