  3. Mix the liver with the mashed blueberries, oat flour and egg to form a thick batter.

  5. Cool, then cut or break into tiny training-sized pieces.
Nutrition: Liver is one of the most tempting, nutrient-dense foods for cats, packed with iron, B vitamins and taurine, making these bites ideal high-value rewards, while a hint of antioxidant-rich blueberry adds a colourful, cat-safe twist in tiny amounts.

📝 Notes

Liver is rich in vitamin A, so keep these strictly as occasional, tiny training rewards rather than an everyday food — too much liver over time can cause vitamin A excess. Use only a few blueberries, and refrigerate the bites for up to three days or freeze for longer.

⚕️ Before you cook for your cat

  • Homemade food must be balanced. Cats need taurine, and deficiency causes heart and eye disease.
  • Treat recipes are supplements to a complete diet, not a replacement for it.
  • Check any new ingredient against the toxic-foods list, and ask your vet before switching diets.
