- Cool to room temperature before serving a small spoonful.
- Refrigerate leftovers and use within two days.
Nutrition: Duck is a flavourful, moderately fatty red meat that provides iron and B vitamins, and a small amount of spinach adds a little extra iron and vitamin K, making this a savoury topper that tempts fussy or convalescing cats to eat.
📝 Notes
Serve in small amounts as a treat or topper, not a complete diet. Remove the fatty skin, as it is very rich. Use only a little spinach — it is fine in small quantities but should be limited for cats with a history of urinary or kidney issues; check with your vet if in doubt.
⚕️ Before you cook for your cat
- Homemade food must be balanced. Cats need taurine, and deficiency causes heart and eye disease.
- Treat recipes are supplements to a complete diet, not a replacement for it.
- Check any new ingredient against the toxic-foods list, and ask your vet before switching diets.
