🧺 Ingredients

  • 150g lean ground turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp oat flour
  • 1 tsp unsweetened dried cranberry, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 tbsp plain cooked pumpkin

👩‍🍳 Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a tray with parchment.
  2. Cook the ground turkey through in a dry pan, then let it cool slightly.
  3. Mix turkey, egg, oat flour, pumpkin and finely chopped cranberry into a workable mixture.
  4. Roll into small balls and flatten into little discs on the tray.
  5. Bake 18–20 minutes until firm and cooked through.
  6. Cool fully before serving.
Nutrition: Turkey is a lean, highly digestible protein rich in the amino acid taurine. Pumpkin adds gentle fibre to support digestion, making these an easy-on-the-stomach treat.

📝 Notes

Use only plain, unsweetened dried cranberry, and only a trace — it is optional flavour, not a remedy. Never use sweetened dried cranberries or cranberry juice drinks, which contain far too much sugar. Store airtight in the fridge up to 4 days or freeze up to 2 months. Introduce any new treat gradually.

⚕️ Before you cook for your cat

  • Homemade food must be balanced. Cats need taurine, and deficiency causes heart and eye disease.
  • Treat recipes are supplements to a complete diet, not a replacement for it.
  • Check any new ingredient against the toxic-foods list, and ask your vet before switching diets.
